Creamy Thousand Island Dressing Dairy & Egg Free

I have always loved the creamy taste of the Thousand islands dressing on my salad. But looking at the store bought ingredients, most contain chemicals used to preserve the freshness of the products shelf life. Chemical names like EDTA, Potassium Sorbate, Calcium Disodium, Sodium Benzoate, and Polysorbate 60. Some even contain chemical sugars called sucralose.

Ok, I get the reasoning behind the food shelf life safety, so why don’t I make a copy cat Thousand Island dressing that tastes the same without all the preservatives! And it only takes 5 minutes to make.

DIET TIP:
Since this meal contains low calories of Green Vegetables and enough calories of healthy fats from the dressing, it lacks enough protein. An Easy fix is to add a plant based protein shake on the side if you have no time, or lean choices of animal proteins, or a couple of boiled eggs. A good plant based alternative is to add 1/2 cup of cooked beans or chickpeas.
