For many of my clients using Brand named condensed milk in their dessert recipes, I was on a mission to create an easy substitute.
There are several ways, but this was the easiest 2 ingredient recipe. It contains no dairy, and less sugar than the canned versions that use sugar.
It tastes like a smooth, buttery caramel.
What’s the difference from condensed milk and evaporated milk:
The biggest difference is the sugar content. Both are made by reducing a little of the water content from the milk. The condensed version has added sugar.
Creamy Condensed Milk Dairy Free
A creamy texture with a buttery caramel taste. With less sugar and no dairy than the store bought canned sweetened condensed milk.
Pour it over fruit, berries, or dairy free ice cream. Use in dessert recipes like cheese cakes,
- Medium sauce pan
- Whisk
- 1/4 cup
- 1 can Coconut milk Canned
- 1/4 cup Maple Syrup

Add the coconut milk, and maple syrup into the pan, and put it on the stove at medium heat. Stir until well combined.
Bring to boil stirring once in a while so it does not burn.
Turn down to simmer for 45 minutes. Stir once in a while

Remove from heat and set aside to cool down. The consistency will become thicker.
Use in your recipe or store in fridge for 7 days.
